Import & export

Import Markdown files; copy notes as rich text, Markdown, or plain text; print to PDF.

Importing

Open Settings → Account → Import and select one or more .md, .txt, or .text files (up to 5 MB each). You can select multiple files in a single batch. Each file is converted to a Snownotes document and appears in your document list immediately. The importer handles Markdown syntax — headings, lists, bold, italic, links, and code blocks are all preserved.

Copy as rich text

From the document menu → Share → "Copy as rich text." The note's content is copied to your clipboard with all formatting intact — bold, italic, headings, lists, links, and more. Paste it into word processors, email clients, or any app that accepts rich text.

Copy as markdown

From the document menu → Share → "Copy as markdown." The note is converted back to Markdown syntax and copied to your clipboard. This is useful for pasting into Markdown-based tools like GitHub, Notion, or static site generators.

Copy as plain text

From the document menu → Share → "Copy as plain text." All formatting is stripped, and the note's raw text content is copied to your clipboard. Useful when you need just the words without any styling.

Print

From the document menu → Share → Print. This opens your browser's native print dialog, which includes a print preview. You can print directly to a connected printer or use the "Save as PDF" option (available in most browsers) to export the note as a PDF file.
